Getting your credit report directly from Choice Point IS NOT FREE. They require you to give them a credit card and they enroll you in their BS “credit monitoring” program and if you don’t cancel it after a certain amount of time, they will bill your credit card.

Use the Federal Trade Commission’s website to get your free credit report from each of the 3 credit reporting agencies:

I’m still totally amazed at people who answer this question incorrectly. Is it just ignorance? Or spam?

FreeCreditReport does NOT give out free reports. I never even heard of that other company…just another of the scam sites trying to cheat people.

Please go to as this is the ONLY TRUE government mandated site where you can get your report.
