Chris W asked:
I need to know which site/programe is the best for credit monitoring. Such things like freecreditreport.com, credit lock, credit keeper. Which ones do you recomend and think are the best to use? All advice welcomed.
Thank you,

Get tips on free credit reports at our blog. Most people know they are entitled to a
free annual credit report but don't realize that they are actually entitled to three(one from each of the big bureaus). We want to make it easy for you to get your free copy of credit reports as well as the all important FICO (or generic) credit score which is not a part of the free program.
I used Truecredit from Transunion and was quite happy with it.
They send an email alert if there was any change at all to my reports.
They also gave a free “score”. Even tho this score is a fako score, it does give a good indication on what direction the FICO score is going.
The site was easy to navigate. You can even update your credit report every month!
If your a member at costco check this out
its is by far the cheapest way to get all 3 credit reports
If you haven’t needed a credit card up until people have been telling you that you need one, don’t worry about it. You really don’t ‘need’ one. The only reason that I got my credit card (aside to help with my credit score!) was for emergiencies-and that was at my family suggestion. I ended up applying for a card through my bank/federal credit union. They will be easier than any other place, especially if you have been with them for a while. Make sure you have NO annual fee. Aside from that, pick and choose.
buildcredit.ifastnet.com – try this site. I monitor my credit score here during last 3 years. And also cleaned off some bad items from my credit report. You can apply for free initial plan and get your scores and reports for free.
